MMPB PulpitWhat a weekend! Packed! Exciting! Filled with family! A glorious God to worship as we gathered to worship yesterday! Phew! I’m done.

All our kids were home by Friday evening: our daughter, son-in-law and our grandson; our son and youngest daughter, both home from college. Our daughter brought her best friend home and it just so happens, her father will be preaching for me next Lord’s Day. How cool is that? Then, my parents came up all the way from Iowa. So, family-wise, it was a great time.

We’ve had some great times of worship at Cornerstone EFC the past few Sundays. God is faithful and has been proving that of late. A week ago, He showed Himself through a special time with a missionary presentation. This week, His name was praised through prayer and song. I was able to get through a whole paragraph of Mark 9 and we gathered around the Lord’s Table to close our time together. The fellowship was sweet. One of our elders led us in prayers of praise and confession using the Valley of Vision, which was a great delight to me (I pray it was to others).

Here’s a recording of the final hymn we sang yesterday. It’s an old hymn set to a different rhythm. We took great joy in the harmonizations, the words and the singing of this hymn. We made it a prayer that God would indeed revive us through the ordinary means of grace He’s given to us.
